New articles for August 2017

We are excited to share with you two new articles written by our colleagues, Swapna and Conrad, about ransomware detection and SyncBack Containers.

Ransomware Detection with SyncBack

Ransomware is a type of malicious program that encrypt user’s files and it has become more prevalent in recent years. In 2017 alone, there were two separate ransomware attacks, WannaCry and Petya, which affected more than 230,000 computers in over 150 countries. This article explains how you can use SyncBack V8 to protect your backed-up data from getting encrypted in the event of an attack.

Backing up to a virtual drive using SyncBack Containers

There are many ways to back up your data, and one of them is to use virtual hard drives like the SyncBack Container, which is a feature found in SyncBackSE/Pro. In this article, we look at what a virtual hard drive is and the advantages of using a SyncBack Container.
