Do not uninstall the program as this will delete your settings and profiles

All versions of SyncBackSE can safely be installed over an existing installation. By doing this, you will ensure any profiles you have created continue to be active.

SyncBackSE Upgrade Procedure

Upgrading SyncBackSE is a simple three step procedure:

Step 1. Shut Down SyncBackSE

If you are currently running SyncBackSE, close down the program making sure it is not running in the background, and also that it does not have a schedule task that is about to commence.

Step 2. Install the Upgrade

Locate and double-click the file SyncBackSEV964_Setup.exe, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the new version.

Please note: to install you must have Windows Administrator rights. This is required by the operating system.

Step 3. Start the program

 

Upgrade Complete

One registered copy of the software may be used by a single person who uses the software personally on up to 5 computers to process personal data (home use). When used to process non-personal data (e.g. the workplace, but including processing non-personal data on a personal computer), a separate license must be purchased for each installation of the program (including one per virtual machine). Installing the program on a server, or on a single workstation used non-simultaneously by multiple people, counts as one installation.

System Requirements

Windows 11, 10, 8, 7 or Vista. Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows are supported.

All versions of Windows Server from 2008 onwards are supported (except for Core versions of Windows Server as they have no GUI).
