We're very happy to announce that SyncBack V11 received an Editors Choice Award from PCWorld. SyncBackSE V3 received a World Class Award from PCWorld just after it was first released in 2005. SyncBack V1 was first released, as freeware, 20 years ago this month.

We've been very busy writing articles: Copying Between Non-Standard Locations, Network File Systems, File Systems and Creating Schedules in SyncBack.

At the end of this newsletter, we also briefly mention one of the many new features introduced with SyncBack V11.

Copying Between Non-Standard Locations

Ever since SyncBack was introduced, a common question/request has been why users cannot create a profile that has a non-standard location on both source and destination side, for example cloud-to-cloud backup, or cloud-to-FTP, etc. This article explains why it is possible, but not with a single profile.

Network File Systems

Systems (NFS) have revolutionized the way organizations manage, store, and share data. By allowing multiple computers to access the same files over a network, NFS have become a cornerstone of modern IT infrastructure.

File Systems

File systems are essential components of any operating system, providing the means to organize, store, and manage data on storage devices like hard drives, SSDs, and external storage media. They define how files are named, stored, and retrieved, and they often include features for data integrity, security, and performance optimization.

Creating Schedules in SyncBack

SyncBack users can effortlessly automate their backup processes by using the Windows Task Scheduler. Once you have scheduled your backups, your backups will be executed automatically at the specified date and time, eliminating the need for manual intervention. The Scheduler Monitor can also inform you if a schedule is not running. This article provides example schedules, e.g. schedule a profile to run from Monday to Friday at 5am.

New V11 Features

SyncBackPro V11 includes many feature suggestions and change requests. One feature request we've often received is to be able to download files from web servers (via HTTP). You can now create a single profile that can download files from multiple web servers into a folder structure you choose. We have an article that explains how.

This is an example of just one small change introduced in V11. Visit our V11 page to see the many other improvements made in V11.
