Downloading
the emergency version of UndeleteOnClick
This page provides instructions
for those who need
to download a special no-install version
of UndeleteOnClick.
This version will improve your chances
of
recovering
your
data if you have not installed the program
before as it will not write anything
to disk.
If you do
not need to recover data immediately,
download the full installer version
of UndeleteOnClick from the OnClick
Utilities Download Page.
Detailed
Instructions
Your first
step is to open
your order conformation email that
contains
your
serial number
and to highlight it. Do
not try to manually
enter the serial number as errors can
easily be made. Copy and paste. Here's
how:
1. Click your left mouse
button after you have postitined your
curser immediately after the very last
digit of your serial number (continue
to hold the mouse button down):

2. While holding down the
left mouse button drag your mouse left
so the entire serial number is highlighted:

3. Release your left mouse
button once so the serial number continues
to be highlighted.
4. visit the following
web page (the link below will open a
new browser window so you will still
be able to refer to this tutorial):

5. Enter your serial number
into the text field:

6. Click the "Download"
button:

Congratulations! You
may now download your licensed version
of UndeleteOnClick.
If
you have deleted a file you wish
to recover follow these very important
steps
1. The first and most
important thing to do is to stop using
the computer you deleted the file from.
Do not reboot it or switch it off. Do
not save your files. Do not create any
new files. Do not use your email program
or a web browser.
2. If you have UndeleteOnClick already installed on your computer
then run it and undelete the file. If UndeleteOnClick is on a an external drive,
floppy disk, CD/DVD, Zip disk, network share, etc. then insert the external
media and run UndeleteOnClick from it.
3. If you do not have UndeleteOnClick installed, on external
media, or on a network share, then go to another computer and copy it to external
media or a network share that the other computer can access. You can then go
back to step 2.
4. If you do not have another computer you can use, and do
not have it installed, on external media, or on a network share, then you will
need to download it and run it. If possible download it to a different partition
from where the file was deleted.
You will need Administrator rights to undelete files.
