IO Reads

Post by ChipG »

After a scheduled backup task completed this morning, I noticed that my drive seemed to have a lot of activity, which usually means a Windows Update is downloading. After about an hour I checked Process Explorer, and the activity was mainly coming from continuous IO reads by SyncBackPro, not an update. I wasn't sure why it was reading so much, as it was not writing _anything_ and the task showed as completed two hours earlier. I let it keep going and rebooted before I left for lunch. Upon return, SyncbackPro was not visible in the Process Explorer, and the drive was "calm."

I haven't noticed SBPro becoming "stuck" like this before. I will watch once my next scheduled backup occurs in 15 minutes and see what happens after.

If anyone has thoughts I'd be interested.
