Move file instead of copy-then-delete

Post by nicopolous »

Sorry if this is asked elsewhere, couldn't find solution.

Hi. Using Syncbackpro v7 for years and very happy. I recently set up a new profile, which is a "backup" profile that moves files to destination that do not exist in source. The source and destination are on the same local drive. The files are very large (CCTV videos) and sometimes there are a lot to move. Syncback identifies the correct files, but doesn't move files like Windows Explorer does, instead it copies them then deletes the file in source. I have tried using the "Windows Explorer method of copying" but that didn't help - when the windows explorer progress dialog box was displayed it showed "copying..." and not "moving...".

Is it possible to use the Windows Explorer method of moving? i.e. just takes almost zero time to move a file irrespective of its size?

Thanks very much.
