Invalid floating point operation

Postby amartinez » Thu Nov 23, 2017 2:46 pm

Hi I got this error message during a transfer of a large file to AWS s3. The files before/after were fine and the job continued.

1/2017 12:03:03","0","db.bak","Failed to copy from Source : Invalid floating point operation - Recv 23/11/2017 05:56:42: HTTP/1.1 200 OK, x-amz-id-2: xxxxxxxxxxxx=, x-amz-request-id: 030B660073E20E05, Date: Thu, 23 Nov 2017 05:56:43 GMT, Transfer-Encoding: chunked, Server: AmazonS3, Recv 23/11/2017 05:56:42: 16d, <?xml version=""1.0"" encoding=""UTF-8""?>

The only thing I may have done is to remove an old version of the file in the version folder within an S2 browser.
Could this have interrupted the transfer?

If not.. what could have? We had no outages at our site.

Hi,

Last month you had reported another issue with AWS S3 which we suspect may be related to the one you are experiencing now (see topic: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=13140)

We haven't received anything from you since then so please generate a Support Zip with debug logs for your profile when it fails again and send it over to us for further investigation.

Submit a support ticket by using the Contact Support in the below link in this article and attach the zip.
http://support.2brightsparks.com/knowle ... ation-file

If your Zip is over 30MB, contact us for alternate instructions, advising the actual size. Do not try to attach to the ticket!

Do not post (nor links to) Support Zips on this open forum.

Thanks,
Kostas

Hi there....thanks for that. We will keep an eye open and run the debugger as suggested and send you on the report- it could be next week though

Hi there... I now have a debug file covering the profile we have been running that shows up these floating point errors.

Its 14M so I will attach to support tickets as suggested
