Limit Upload Size Dropbox/Google Drive

Post by Homer712 » Sat Jun 03, 2017 2:03 pm

Is there a way to limit the size of the backup when using either Dropbox or Google Drive? I am using the free versions of both services and have 4 GB of space on Dropbox and 15 GB available on Google Drive. My storage/backup needs are limited (simple home use backups) but it would be convenient if I could set SyncBack Pro (V8) to limit (purge older versions) the backups to a specific size.

I don't think so. Same as when a local disk is full. :(
You need to manage this on your end.

Create some specific folders that won't be used for anything huge, and you'll be fine.

There are some other options. I don't know about the free version, but the pro version at least has the option to ignore files of a certain size, or ignore files that have or haven't been modified for a certain time - from seconds all the way up to years.

You would find it under Compare Options and then File Size, or Date & Time.

Ah wait, i see you're using the free cloud services.
And this is the SBPro forum of course #-o so the above should be an option.
