Synchronizing Your Notebook, Tablet, or Laptop Files

Getting Started | SyncBackSE System Requirements

SyncBackSE will run on the following Windows operating systems:

Designed for Windows XP SyncBackSE requires Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows 2003.

Note: In line with Microsoft's policy, Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME, and NT 4 are not supported.

Note To copy locked/open files, you must be running Windows XP (Pro or Home), Windows 2003, or Windows Vista as a user who is a member of the Backup Operators group (administrator users are). In addition, the file being copied (which is locked) must be on a local volume (i.e. a drive physically connected to the computer). If it is on a FAT32 volume then you must also have a local NTFS volume on an internal drive.

SyncBackSE produces log reports which will show what system you are currently using. You will be able to view a log report after you have run SyncBackSE by going to:

Main Menu > Task > View Log:

log selection

This concludes the e-book 'Sync Your Laptop'. Look out for other e-books from 2BrightSparks that help you automate SyncbackSE and more.
