Restoring Backups
with SyncBackSE
|
Preparing
SyncBackSE Before You Restore
Before you restore files
you may want to modify your profile:
• If
your profile is set to delete files from
the destination that are not
in the source then change it to 'Do
nothing, skip the file'
on the Decisions
- Files option.

WARNING:
DO NOT SELECT the
'Destination
overwrites source always (restore)
option'
as this will have very serious consequences
and will run the
restore from the SOURCE when you perform
the restore.
• You
probably do not want to replace your
current files with older
backup files. In this case enable the
option 'Do
not replace newer files with older files'
available in the Profile Setup window
under the Copy/Delete
> Advanced options:

During the restore you may also want
to stop any background backups from
starting. To do this select Preferences > Options from
the main menu and enable the option Stop
background backups from starting
(the program defualt setting):

You are now ready to carry
out a Simulated Restore.
