Getting Started | System Requirements

SyncBackSE and SyncBackPro will run on the following Windows operating systems:

SyncBackSE and SyncBackPro requires Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 2008, Windows 7 or newer. Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows are supported. Note: In line with Microsoft's policy, Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME, and NT 4 are not supported.

To copy locked/open files, you must be running Windows XP (Pro or Home), Windows 2003, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 as a user who is a member of the Backup Operators group (administrator users are). In addition, the file being copied (which is locked) must be on a local volume (i.e. a drive physically connected to the computer). If it is on a FAT32 volume then you must also have a local NTFS volume on an internal drive.

SyncBackSE/Pro produces log reports which will show what system you are currently using. You will be able to view a log report after you have run SyncBackSE/Pro by going to:

Main Menu > Task > View Log:
