Q: Can I be notified of missed tasks?

In Windows XP and 2003 you can configure the task scheduler to inform you of missed tasks in the following way:

- Go to the Control Panel
- Double-click the Scheduled Tasks icon
- Select Notify me of missed tasks in the Advanced menu

In WIndows Vista and newer Microsoft have removed this option (the entire shceduling system has been completely redesigned). However, there is an option to run the task as soon as possible after a schedule start is missed. SyncBack automatically enables this option for you.
