Files that are installed with SyncBackSE V5

The following files are installed with SyncBackSE V5:

  • AOSMTPEX.dll - Required for sending email. If email is not being used then the file is not required.
  • Forums - A link to the online forums. Optional.
  • FTPLicense.xml - Required for FTP.
  • languagecodes.mo - Not required if you are only using English for the user interface.
  • locale - This folder contains all the user interface translations. Not required if you are only using English for the user interface.
  • MailingList - A link to the online form to fill in to subscribe to the mailing list. Optional.
  • ReadMe_EN.rtf - The ReadMe file (in English). Other languages will have different "read me" files. It is optional.
  • sfFTPLib.dll - Required for FTP. If FTP is not being used then the file is not required.
  • sfxzip.ico - The icon used for self-extracting Zip files. Optional if you are not using self-extracting Zip files.
  • SYNCBACKSE.CHM - The help file for SyncBackSE. It is optional.
  • SyncBackSE.dll - This is used to write to the Windows event log. It is optional.
  • SyncBackSE.exe - This is the SyncBackSE executable file and is required.
  • SyncBackSE.exe.manifest - This file is so that the COM objects (e.g. sfFTPLib.dll, XceedZip.dll, AOSMTPEX.dll, etc) do not need to be registered.
  • SyncBackSE.exe.manifest.nonadmin.txt - The non-elevated manifest file. Can be used instead of SyncBackSE.exe.manifest on Vista.
  • SyncBackSE Distribution Agreement.rtf - The SyncBackSE distribution agreement.
  • vs2k3.dll - Required to copy open/locked files from the source on Windows 2003 and Vista. If you are not using Windows 2003 or Vista then it is not required.
  • vs2k3dest.dll - Required to copy open/locked files from the destination on Windows 2003 and Vista. If you are not using Windows 2003 or Vista then it is not required.
  • vsxp.dll - Required to copy open/locked files from the source on Windows XP. If you are not using Windows XP then it is not required.
  • vsxpdest.dll - Required to copy open/locked files from the destination on Windows XP. If you are not using Windows XP then it is not required.
  • XcdSfxZ64.bin - Required for creating self-extracting Zip files. Optional if you are not using self-extracting Zip files.
  • XcdSfxZ64AES.bin - Required for creating self-extracting Zip files. Optional if you are not using self-extracting Zip files.
  • XcdSfxZ64BzAES.bin - Required for creating self-extracting Zip files. Optional if you are not using self-extracting Zip files.
  • XceedZip.dll - The Zip compression library. This is an ActiveX file that must be registered (it is registered automatically during installation). Without this file profiles cannot be imported or exported and compression cannot be used with profiles.
  • *.vbs - Example scripts. See the help file for details. All are optional unless they are being used.
