server to server sync >12Tb
This is my situation.
WHS 2011 at home running SyncBackSE PRO
containing 400GB user data and 8 TB of ISO's Films Mixed BR and DVD.
Backup server WHS 2011 at 2th Home, used only for viewing and backup.
Both servers can be controlled with Remote Desktop.
The User data I keep in Sync with a Laptop in between with 2 Groups.
1 group at home , same group at 2th home. Works great and minimizes data over internet. FTP is taking way to long for these amounts of files.
My Film collection I do manualy.
I am creating now a HAS code with HasonClick of each Film file and placing that in a Excel sheet for both servers. In excel I will check both Has codes and that way I know if the files are ok.
For both situations I would like an option in SyncBackSE PRO:
FTP sync on both locations, using HAS code to check, but HAS Code generated on both servers to minimize Data transport.
2th the result of the differences placed on a HD of choise to transport manualy the large amount/size of files.

Re: server to server sync >12Tb
Hi
1) You originally posted this in an area of the forum which is for blog articles by the developer (not for feature requests). I've thus moved it, but that raised a 2nd issue
2) There is no such product as 'SyncBackSE PRO' - it is either 'SyncBackSE' or SyncBackPro'. I have made an educated guess that you would not have mentioned 'Pro' if it wasn't part of the name, so I have moved your post to the SyncBackPro forum
3) Thanks for your suggestions, and they will be passed on, but TBH I can't see this making much progress. I can see two big problems
a) it is not possible to connect to two FTP servers at the same time (one side must be a standard disk or network location)
b) there is no provision whatsoever for comparing X & Y and copying the differences between them to Z. SE/Pro are strictly two-sided
Both of these aspects would require a major rewrite, which I am fairly sure is never going to happen - at least, not in the short or medium term.

Re: server to server sync >12Tb
ty for giving me a fast reply. Its SyncBackPro i use version 6.
When I am at home my laptop takes care of the in-between backup.
Its in the same LAN as my WHS server. Fast connection and really fast sync's.
For slow connections it would have a big advantage to create a backup this way.
Creating a difference file between server 1 and 2. With a one click program transfer this selection to a transport HD.
