Passes of DeleteOnClick

Postby frahne » Sat Mar 21, 2009 8:10 pm

Hello, I read, that DeleteOnClick follows the U.S. DOD 5220.22-M secure file deletion standard. But I saw two definitions of this standard in the web. One with 3 passes and one with 7. Which is the method of DeleteOnClick?
Thanks

Hi, I think it's 3 passes. The registered version also wipes the files dates and attributes. The filename is also renamed before wiping, so the filename is also wiped.
