Which SyncBackPro version can do this simple backup.
Currently I have V5 Pro. Maybe I am missing something but I need the following ability.
1) Backup incremental but keep the older versions. The Option when disk is full to eliminate automatically the older ones.
2) Restore from tree any of the versions. Eg. Be able to go in and tell it to go back to whatever date I want. E.g. go back to a catalog and say I want to restore from here on.
Can V5 or V6 do this?
It is important that I have versions but also make it easy to go and restore without having to look through all the folders.
I just need very simple backup forever incremental versions retain and erase older stuff option.
Thanks

Re: Which SyncBackPro version can do this simple backup.
1) Define 'incremental'? Do you means as described here? Or just 'only recopy files that have changed - but to the same place every time'?
There's no inherent functionality to delete files based on age versus disk-space. With true-Incremental, you can/do flush the 'in-between' (changes-only) locations each time you re-use them, but that's all.
2) Not possible, sorry. Restore from true-Incremental requires you to manually select locations in turn to
a) Restore from the last Full backup and then (if subsequently-changed files since last Full are required) > >
b) Restore from each subsequent set of changes (that is, from each separate location they are stored in) in strict rotation till you get to the state you want (or as near thereto as you previously captured).
Restore from Versioning, OTOH, requires cherry-picking file-by-file, and is not suitable for a full roll-back of all files to a mid-point.
There is no difference in any of this behavior between V5 and V6.
