Bug - Large files don't show file transfer

Postby TheArkive » Sat Apr 28, 2012 10:12 pm

Most files copied with SyncBack will show the progress of bytes being transferred in the "Progress" column (if the files are large enough).

BUG: It also happens that if a file is too large then it will still transfer but the "Progress" column will show "0" until it moves to the next file.

A small bug that doesn't affect the operation of the program at all.

P.S. NICE program. I love it.

Re: Bug - "Progress" column doesn't always show file size.

After some more testing, it seems file size isn't a factor. It seems to be somewhat random. Some file sizes are shown, and some are not. In the cases they are not shown, the file size remains "0".

As I mentioned before however, the operation of the program seems to not be affected. Usually the next file to be large enough to have it's progress shown displays properly in the "Progress" column.

Though eventually, another file will start a "0" and remain at "0" until another file starts being copied.

The files I'm using are windows updates downloaded by AutoPatcher. I'm downloading with a PC, and backing up to an external HDD and a few other PC's. Plenty of files with which to see this phenomenon.

Sorry for the initial title being incorrect. Hopefully the moderator can change it so this thread isn't misrepresented.

Hi

Thanks for your feedback, but the freeware is pretty much out of development now, so it's unlikely this would get changed now. Especially as it is 'cosmetic' (doesn't affect actual operation).
